Joren {1 Week old baby Photos}

Our baby is a week old as of yesterday. I can't believe how fast the time goes. My wife might speak differently since she is the one up feeding him most of the night. For the record, photographing babies is harder than it looks. Especially, with three other children wanting to help in the process. Three wet blankets and a few hours later we have these. These were shot in natural light inside our home with the help of my wonderful wife Katie. How incredible are babies? God is good!

Our New Addition: Baby Jorry

We are blessed to welcome the birth of our son Joren into the world as of 2-16 at 3:38 in the afternoon. After 12 hours of laboring in the hospital, my incredible wife delivered or 8 pound 8 ounce baby boy, Joren. I was able to capture, with the help of Sam, my future sister-in-law, the whole process. Praise God for an amazing delivery and healthy mom and baby. Special thanks to Mel & John for watching out children during our stay at the hospital and for all the prayers offered up on our behalf. Katie and I we blessed with amazing staff at Memorial Health Care Center. Also, thank you to all our friends and family who came to see us and spoil us with gifts and treats. Hope to share more with you in the future. Just discovered I can share video, so here are a few of the stills and video from Jorry's birth.

Vanessa {Six Months Baby Portrait}

Photographing children is one of the most rewarding and challenging things I do. Anyone can take a picture of a baby and people will think it is cute, especially if it is their kid. The real challenge is catching their attention and capturing their personality form behind the camera. Vanessa is adorable, it goes without saying, but her smile and quirk is to die for. I feel so privileged to be allowed in people's homes to photograph them and their children in the personal surroundings. No backdrops - just real life. The unexpected is what I live for.

Meyer Family

There is something about photographing a family in their home that can't be replicated in a studio. It is this personal touch that makes these photos so stunning and candid. What a beautiful family. They had a gorgeous bedroom, which was the backdrop for many of these intimate moments. Thanks Meyer Family!
