LOKTAH {natural media packaging} DVD Case Feature

Today, I thought I would order one of Loktah's many amazing packaging products for a recent family session we shot a few weeks ago. Joshua Smith contacting me about having it photographed and featured on their Facebook page. It was probably the fact I totally messed up my order and got some special attention, but either way pretty neat! I look forward to adding more of their products to my packages soon. Stokes Easter 2011

Easter is by far my most favorite holiday. There isn't all the pressure of gifts and there is nothing more awesome than Jesus' death and resurrection! With the smell of spring in the air, the children are anxious to get outside after months of being stuck indoors. Sunday mornings are always a hectic time in our house, but this Easter morning allowed for our traditional impromptu photo shoot. Forget trying to photograph children when they first wake up, feed then photograph. Lesson learned.

Every year, my father writes clues for me and my two younger adult brothers. This is a tradition I can't wait to continue with my children. But since they are just learning to read, we will focus on simple easter egg hunts and playing with aunts and uncles. They are so blessed to be so loved. AJ and Riv shared an adorable brother-sister moment after breakfast on the farm. AJ tried to plant one on Rivy, but she was playing hard to get.

There is something about photographing a family in their home that can't be replicated in a studio. It is this personal touch that makes these photos so stunning and candid. What a beautiful family. Published: National Photo Contest Winner

I could not be more ecstatic about being selected as one of the winners for Instaproofs 2011 photo contest. My goal for this year was to get published. This was the first entry or submission I have made. I am looking forward to a successful year filled with goals reached, beautiful people, funny memories, mistakes, and lesson's learned. I am so thankful to all of my wonderful clients who remind me of why I love what I do. I can't wait for the snow to be gone, although it is beautiful in its own way, I am looking forward to spring flowers and showers.
